For the past six months, I've been running to one album and one album alone: Blackout by Britney Spears.
Spears' 2007 album is a masterpiece, and according to her autobiography The Woman in Me, it's "the thing [she's] most proud of." The album is a rigorous, vicious 55 minutes reclaiming a united personhood, an uproariously good time, and perfect for hitting the treadmill at your local Y.
The video features paparazzi footage, me putting on my makeup, and Britney videos galore, and analysis about the album, the myth, the legend: BLACKOUT.
